Full Job Description

TRAK Employment Solutions, acting as an employment business, are working with a leading, quality focussed, globally owned manufacturing company as they look to recruit 2 Warehouse Team Leaders within their busy operation.

Salary: £26,000k per annum (DOE)

Hours: 0600 – 1400 & 1400 – 2200 (1200 – 2000 on a Friday), Monday to Friday (no weekends) – Fixed shift

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Swindon

Working within a stunning brand new, state of the art warehouse facility, you will support the Warehouse Supervisor in the day to day running of all areas of the warehouse.

You will lead by example in a hands-on role and ensure all staff adhere to set working processes & procedures.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To consistently perform the role of warehouse operative leading hand to the highest standards.
  • To display a professional behaviour – always acting as a role model.
  • To liaise with both management & warehouse admin team on a day-to-day basis to understand daily work priorities.
  • Induct & train new staff and feed-back on progress / performance to Warehouse Supervisor.
  • To identify any additional or specific staff training requirements.
  • To provide guidance, training, and support to consistently achieve team KPI targets and promote a positive work culture.
  • To ensure high levels of productivity and pick accuracy are maintained.
  • To organise, direct and assign tasks to the warehouse staff in a timely manner to ensure daily pick & packing targets are maintained to ensure all delivery/ collection deadlines are achieved.
  • To collaborate with staff and other Team Leads and supervisors to resolve operational issues and / or provide suggestions for improvement.

  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Good attention to detail.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment, ideally leading a small team.
  • Good knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures.
  • Experience in the use of scanning equipment.
  • Forklift Reach, Counterbalance & PPT licence. (advantageous but not essential)
