Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift and VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Driver to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and VNA trucks to safely move goods and materials within the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval, and transportation of inventory. The role requires a strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and VNA trucks to move, lift, stack, and organize products in the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks, containers, or storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Ensure proper storage of goods in the correct locations, following company protocols for inventory organization.
- Perform routine checks and inspections of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, including proper labeling and tracking of items.
- Assist with order picking, packing, and staging of materials for shipment.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production and shipment goals.
- Participate in periodic inventory counts and assist in stock management activities.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or inventory discrepancies to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the warehouse, including aisles and storage areas.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts and VNA trucks in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Valid forklift certification and VNA certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to lift and carry items when necessary.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting (preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle minor maintenance issues with equipment.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and operate forklifts and VNA trucks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry loads when necessary.
- Ability to bend, squat, and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a noisy and sometimes physically demanding environment.
