Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Refurbishment Worker to join our team. This role involves the cleaning, repairing, testing, and repackaging of small household items such as light switches, plug sockets, door knobs, and lighting fixtures. The ideal candidate will have a practical mindset and experience working with basic electrical and hardware components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and assess used or returned items for functionality and damage
• Clean and refurbish small household fixtures such as light switches, sockets, door handles, and lighting units
• Replace damaged parts, screws, or fittings as needed
• Perform basic electrical testing (e.g., continuity testing of switches or sockets)
• Ensure items are safe, clean, and operational before repackaging
• Maintain accurate records of items processed and parts used
• Work to production targets while maintaining high standards of quality
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a workshop, refurbishment, or similar hands-on role
• Basic understanding of household electrical items (switches, sockets, lighting)
• Good attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to learn and follow refurbishment procedures

Desirable:

• Experience with PAT testing or basic electrical knowledge (not essential)
• Familiarity with warehouse or workshop environments
• Health & Safety awareness or relevant training
