Warehouse & Distribution Executive

Job Details

We’re looking for a positive and motivated Warehouse & Distribution Executive to join one of the UK’s fastest growing online British retailers.
Supporting the Warehouse & Distribution Assistant Manager, this role must ensure the transport operations and warehouse are managed to a high degree of competency to ensure that our customers are served with the right goods, within SLAs, and at the right cost and our products are stored and handled effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of all inbound and outbound supplier fulfilments from our fulfilment centre including the loading and unloading of supplier vehicles
  • Assist in the scheduling, booking-in and undertaking of all customer fulfilments (deliveries, collections, exchanges, disposals, repairs etc)
  • Undertake all picking activities for supplier and customer fulfilments
  • Undertake all warehouse/ fulfilment centre tasks including being a key holder and the opening and closing of the site as a whole if required and ensuring Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times
  • Ensure all stock is effectively stored and graded, including annual and monthly stock and bay checks and helping to resolve stock discrepancies
  • Assist in the management of all rented or owned vans to ensure they are maintained/ road worthy
  • Assist in the management of all fulfilment related data to ensure 100% accuracy across relevant platforms at all times
  • Act as an emergency driver/ drivers buddy for customer deliveries

Skills & Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience of transport planning and systems
  • 1+ years’ warehouse experience
  • 1+ years’ stock management experience
  • Picking, scanning and packing experience
  • A “can-do” and proactive, problem solving attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good level of competence across Microsoft Office (Excel; Word; Powerpoint; Outlook)
  • Team player and experience of working cross-functionally
  • Full clean driving licence required
  • CPC Qualified (desirable but not essential)
  • Fork lift licence (desirable but not essential)

Experience:

  • Transport planning and systems: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Picking, scanning and packing: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Stock management: 1 year (Preferred)
  • CPC Qualified: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)
