Pay: £35,000 -£39,000 pa

Working hours: from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

Location: Groundwell

Duties and responsibilities :

Maintain and fix production equipment to ensure minimal downtime in production whilst following food safety procedures.

  • The key responsibilities of a Production Engineer are to:
    Maintain and maintenance programme for all machinery, ensuring that all required manuals and necessary spares are up to date and onsite.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to machine breakdowns, completing any immediate repairs that can be carried out to get the machine running asap and carryout root cause analysis and schedule any preventative work required to prevent the issue reoccurring.
  • Assist in the training of manufacturing personnel
  • Making sure that the factory has all fixtures and fittings required to optimize use of machinery.
  • Analyse production processes and propose/implement improvements to reduce lead time, reduce cost and  improve efficiency.
  • Attend initial production runs to ensure machinery settings are optimal for the new product and problem solve any machinery related issues.
  • Helping to advise on factory layouts and new automated machinery
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Company and legislative requirements for Health & Safety and adhere to quality management system
  • Assisting with building and repairs
